Nursing in Public is beneficial to the community.

I believe all children have a right to eat in public. I believe a mother shouldn't be asked or forced to drop what she's doing and leave the room to nurse her child. We have a right to feed our children wherever we are, covered or uncovered! Breast or bottle.

My argument for public breastfeeding is simple. Humans have decided along the way that we should only be shaming our bodies sexually, instead of embracing our gift as a woman and mother: the gift of life. I'm not saying breasts can't be sexual, but I'm saying they should be respected as functional 'tools'  if you will, lol. You wouldn't attack a mother for public bottle feeding, would you? Did you say no? Awesome! Then please respect our right to nurse our children in public as well. ♥

Humans are mammals, and all mammals nurse their young!

Furthermore, I'm willing to argue that people need to see public breastfeeding. Why? Because humans have been driven so far away from their instincts that most don't even know breastfeeding is normal! I'm not even kidding! It's a shame most of our society thinks that feeding infants the way nature intended is shameful or dirty, when all it is really, is giving life to a precious child. Children are our future, and we need to arm them with as much information as possible.

Have you ever been harassed while breastfeeding? Asked to cover up or leave the room? Please share your stories in the comments and let your voice be heard.
